Food Technology Teaching Assistant

Qualiteach is currently working with a SEMH School who is looking for someone to come on board as a Food Technology Teaching Assistant.

For this role you will be based in the Technology Department and will support in all the Food Technology lessons.

Duringthese lessons there will be 6-8 students per class, all the students you will be supporting will have some form of Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs.

Due to the students needs they will be times when their behaviour can become challenging, and thiswill need to be dealt with in the correct manor.

As well as supporting the students you will also need to help the class teacher set up and tidy away lessons.

Therefore, the ideal Food Technology Teaching Assistant for this role will ideally need previousexperience but isn't necessary and be able to build and strong rapport with the students and work as part of a team.


SEMH School

This SEMH School is located in Mitcham, in the London borough of Merton and caters for students aged between 4-16 years with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs.

They currently have 100 students who attend and in their last Ofsted in May 2018, they werereviewed as 'Good' in all areas.
