RCSEng Robotic Fellow (1st post) - Starting October 2023
RCSEng Robotic Fellow (2nd post) - Starting March 2024

Applications are invited for a two Robotic RCSEng in Urology our unit. Both posts are accreditited RCSEng and are full time fixed term appointment.

The first post will commence in October 2023 and the second in March 2024 for a period of mandatory 12 months and are based at Lister Hospital in Stevenage.

The department includes four robotically trained Consultants (three of whom are national and international proctors in Robotic Urology). The Trust has a da Vinci Xi Dual Console robot, which has further enhanced training opportunities within the department.

The department is recognised as a centre of excellence by The Vattikuti Foundation, one of only three centres in Europe.

The trust also has a second Xi Dual Console system and a CMR Versius system.

The Robotic Fellows will be expected to maintain the department's robotic database and contributes to national audits. Parallel research oppurtunities continue to exsist with multiple national and international ongoing research projects.

  • The Robotic Fellow maintains the department's robotic database and contributes to national audits.
  • The post will be a balance of outpatient, day case and inpatient operating duties.
  • To participate in the department's teaching, audit, and educational activities
  • Daily ward rounds, inpatient and outpatient management of patients, operating lists and on call
