Hawkins\Brown are looking for an Architectural Technologist join our Manchester Team


We are ideally searching for a graduate or someone at the start of their technologist career to join our creative colleagues at our Manchester studio.

The architectural technologist will also be part of Hawkins\Brown wider Specialist Design Studio, where they will liaise collaboratively with wider members of the design team across regional studios.

The architectural technologist will receive mentorship from senior colleagues within their studio and have plenty of opportunities for training and development.

Key areas of responsibility for Architectural Technologist:

  • Working with the Project Architects and all project team members you will be required to support the development of the design, from Concept through to Construction on projects
  • Contribute to the detailed design process, package development and coordinating design information within the BIM environment (Revit/Navisworks) and assist in the production of detailed specifications
  • Input into creation of NBS specifications
  • Liaise collaboratively with wider members of the design team

Essential skills:


  • Experience in tender and construction package production within Revit software
  • Understanding of detailed technical design and construction methods
  • Understanding of UK regulation and code requirements
  • Experience of Revit including Content Creation
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and/or as part of a wider team under pressure
  • Ability to research and maintain updated technical skills
  • Very strong attention to detail
  • Dedicated team player

Desirable skills:


  • Up to 3 years' experience as an architectural Technician or Technologist
  • Experience of working with NBS Building and/or Chorus
  • Understanding of suite of PAS standards and/or ISO19650
  • Experience of CDE's such as Aconex/Asite
  • Proficient at Revit
  • Experience of CAD software such as AutoCAD
  • Understanding of clash detection process using Navisworks
