Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading, Luxury Lighting and Home Technology company.

We are looking for an experienced front of house/ client facing individual who will manage the day to day running of our showroom on Great Portland Street, and organise special events taking place throughout the year.

Our 'new look' showroom is about to be unveiled and so this role will be joining at an exciting and busy time.

You will be the "go to person" for the showroom and become the first face people see when they visit.

Maybe you aren't currently a Showroom Manager but have extensive experience in an events or front of house hosting role, this could be a new challenge in your career.

An essential part of the role is being able to greet guests, welcome them to the showroom and guide them around the space as needed; specifically, Architects, Interior Designers, design professionals and often HNW clients.

You will support our Sales and Design teams as they host meetings and presentations.

The role will be varied, sometimes working independently, sometimes managing a busy day of appointments, working with Sales, hosting and running an evening event, or supporting our Marketing team with content and ideas.

You will need to be able to work flexibly around meetings and events that run on into the evening. But that might mean a later start the next day. The hours will be flexible.

We need somebody who is a brilliant communicator, professional, welcoming and not afraid to get your hands dirty.

One evening might be champagne and canapes, the next day might be restocking the bar and arranging the window cleaner.

You will be responsible for making sure the space is always presented to the highest standard.

You will become an important member of our Sales team and will report to Head of Sales and Marketing, assisting them on a daily basis with collating information about visitors, managing the showroom diary and planning future events.

Role Responsibilities

  • Welcoming visitors, mainly HNWIs and designers to the showroom, ensuring a professional and friendly welcome is always received.
  • Setting up for meetings demonstrations, making refreshments and proactively checking in with the team about what they need for their meetings.
  • Managing the showroom diary and appointment process for the design and sales team.
  • Updating the CRM system with relevant client information and daily activity.
  • Managing the events programme including all associated logistics.
  • Manage the general maintenance and upkeep of the showroom.
  • Support in creating marketing content.

Experience requirements

  • Experience working in the luxury design and construction industry (ideal but not essential)
  • A welcoming, confident attitude, with genuine interest and ability to start up face to face conversations with visitors in the showroom.
  • Friendly and professional demeanour ability to engage with people, respond to their needs and be a brilliant communicator.
  • Outstanding time management and organisation skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Enthusiastic, hands on and always happy to help.
  • Strong event management skills. You must be able to create, and project manage regular events using your hosting, communication and organisation skills.
  • Experience of using your own initiative, anticipating future needs of the showroom and communicating well with various people across the business.
  • Events or Marketing qualification or similar advantageous.
  • Experience working on social media, marketing content would be advantageous.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products (with a focus on Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word)

Location:
Great Portland Street, London

Hours:
Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm (flexible hours dependent upon events calendar and evening appointments)
