    Job Title: Family Time Practitioner

    About the Role

    We are seeking a qualified and experienced Family Time Practitioner to join our busy child-focused children's social care family time team.

    You will be responsible for supervising family time with children who are looked after by the local authority and their birth parents/extended families.

    Your Role

    The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and have excellent written skills.

    They will be expected to support with the transportation of children to and from their family time sessions.

    They will be required to have or be willing to learn the skills to deal with challenging behaviour from both children and adults.

    You will work within the hours of 7am to 7pm.

    About You

    You will hold a relevant essential qualification as stated on the job summary.

    You will be flexible in your approach to your work.

    You will have the ability to work between the hours of 7am and 7pm.

    Ideally, you will have experience of working with children and families in need of help and support, particularly in challenging situations.

    You will have the ability to travel borough-wide and beyond to fulfill your role.

    You will display and promote the councils Team Wigan behaviours.

    You will be an excellent communicator, efficient in time management, and a strong team player.
