We have an exciting opportunity for Bank Pharmacy Assistants to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Belmarsh, a
category A Prison located in Thamesmead, South East London.


In this role you'll be an integral team member, working with a multi-disciplinary team that will support you and help you succeed.

The working hours for the role is Monday to Friday from 09:00 - 17:00

What you'll be doing:

As a Bank Pharmacy Assistant your responsibilities will vary


You will:

  • Provide high quality support to the supply, preparation and assembly of medicines under the direction of the Responsible Pharmacist.
  • Deliver Nonjudgemental and patient centred care.
  • Promote Best practice, patient centred care by upholding professionalism in line with the GPhC standards.
  • Share knowledge and skills by engaging with continuous professional development, reflection and supervision.

You'll receive a bank hourly rate of £14.81

Qualifications & Experience required

  • NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Service Skills/equivalent or working towards
  • Medicines handing experience desirable not essential
  • Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Have the ability to recognise your own value and that of others
  • Good IT skills and IT literacy
Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital or prison environment.
