Regional HSEQ Advisor - Utility DivisionThe Lanes Group needs an experienced HSEQ Advisor to join our growing Utility & Tankering division.
Job Purpose - Support the Regional HSEQ Manager and wider HSEQ team to provide full Health and Safety function for the STW WINS contract.
Responsibilities
- Keep up to date with Health and Safety legislation, good practices, ACOPS and changes to ensure compliance and maintain industry standards.
- Provide consistent, accurate and technical advice to field based teams, supervisors, and regional managers.
- Assist with Accident investigations.
- Promotion of TBT's and ensuing business is compliant with the delivery of TBT's and other monthly requirements.
- Conduct internal audits and site safety inspections
- Participate in regional teams Safety Stand downs and H&S committee meetings.
- Maintain expert coverage in the absence of the Regional HSEQ Manager
- Responding to safety concerns
- Liaising with partners to ensure safety standards across the contract.
- Promote a positive safety culture throughout the business.
Qualifications/Experience/Knowledge/Skills Required:
- Nebosh General Certificate, NVQ or NCRQ certificate (essential)
- TechIOSH
- Member of professional body such as IIRSM or IOSH (desirable
- Experience in utilities including water, wastewater, gas and electrical (desirable) or transferable industry.
- 2 years' experience in a similar type role (desirable)
- Attention to detail
- Able to work on your own and as part of a wider team
- Good communication skills
- Good organisation and time keeping skills
- Be able to prioritise workload
- Selfmotivated target driven
- Good computer skills and working on various software packages
- Good communication skills

- Able to be field based and travel to different sites daily (Driving Licence essential)
