Working for Clearflow who are part of Lanes Group Plc, the UK's largest independent specialist drainage contractor, with a multi million turnover.


The Role:


You will be responsible for providing commercial and contractual administration of, but not limited to, the South West Water contract, including identifying opportunities offering best value to the customer, maximising profitability and limiting commercial risk.

You will work closely with the Operational Director and Area Operations managers across 3 operational sites, to ensure contract objectives and margins are met.


Key responsibilities & duties:


  • Manage day to day commercial and contract activities with clients and operational teams
  • Responsible for commercial performance and cost data analysis
  • Produce and present contractual performance reports and monitor efficiencies
  • Overseeing subcontract activities and costings
  • Preparation of financial estimates, sales invoices and supporting data
  • Responsible for performing data analysis and contract administrative activities
  • Populate performance reports and monitor efficiencies
  • Manage the contract inbox
  • Ensure a good working relationship is made and maintained between the Operations Team and the client
  • Resolve queries from the Operational Team
  • Attend contract meetings
  • Provide support on raising purchase orders and monitor invoices to ensure that queries and mismatches are resolved
  • Maintaining of our electronic and document files, general administration
  • Responsible for performing data analysis and contract administrative activities
  • Routine administration tasks within the department and role
In addition to these functions outlined above, personnel are required to carry out such other duties as may be reasonably required in order to support the objectives of the Group/ Company/ Region/ Division


Desired:


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (experience of Power BI desirable)
  • Able to work in multiple environments including on your own, as a team and with clients

Ideally you will have proven experience of working in a Commercial/Contract Administraton or Quantity Surveying role.

You may be qualified by experience or have studied a qualification in Quantity Surveying which would be of great benefit.
