Salary:
Circa £45,000, DOE plus bonus

Office based role -

We are one of the UK's most respected suppliers of high-quality hydraulic excavator attachments for sale or hire, serving customers across a wide range of industry.

We have a new exciting opportunity for an experienced
Purchasing Managerto join our busy team.


Purchasing Manager**:

  • The Role**:

Responsibilities and duties:


  • Procurement and Purchasing for Plant Hire and BPH Attachments
  • Manage a team of 2 existing purchasing staff
  • Management of the daytoday activities that secure the supply of direct materials to support the business
  • Building and maintaining good relationships with new and existing suppliers


  • Stock Control

  • Consumables, Parts and Attachments
  • Stock forecasting and monthly stock takes
  • Goods in & Despatch


  • Logistics

  • Carriers and 3rd Party Transport arrangements
  • Liaising with suppliers to ensure deliveries arrive on time
  • Import / Export arrangements
  • Lead change management for the purchasing team, supporting new product introductions
  • Development, implementation, and maintenance of best practices and procedures in all areas

Purchasing Manager**:

  • Key Competencies**:
  • CIPS Level 5 qualified
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good Negotiation skills and proven experience of cost saving
  • Experience of HM Customs and import/export requirements
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Working technical knowledge of attachments industry, a bonus
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office, Excel, stock control and CRM systems
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good administrative and organisational skills
  • Team player
