0.6 WTE Wheelchairs/Postural Seating Therapist


Applications are invited from experienced Physiotherapists / Occupational Therapists who are looking to develop specialist skills in the assessment and provision of Wheelchair/Postural Seating services.


Note:
the service may choose to employ either a physiotherapist or an occupational therapist.


Referrals into the service are accepted for clients of all ages, children and adults, with a broad range of mobility problems/medical conditions.

The majority of clients are seen in clinics held at the Prosthetic and Wheelchair Centre; however they may also be assessed in various community settings according to their individual needs.

Multi-disciplinary working is integral in practice.


To independently assess and treat routine and complex patients, within the designated specialist clinical area, putting into practice clinical reasoning and clinical skills with the guidance of the Advanced Practitioner or Band 7 Physiotherapist.


To take responsibility for junior members of staff and delegate duties as necessary, providing appropriate levels of support at all times.

Assist in the delivery of specified areas of service provision and development as appropriate with the guidance of the Advanced Practitioner or Band 7 Physiotherapist.
