Description

Role Objectives:

Use a variety of user research methods to gain a deep understanding of users and their needs and motivations
Communicate and evangelise user needs to the team and wider stakeholders
Work with team members to translate research findings into user stories and personas
Mentor less experienced researchers to help them realise their potential.
With the possibility of line management of others.

You will support the synthesis of findings and the creation of insights, reports and presentations to inform decision making and drive actions.

You will also contribute to the selection of user research approaches for projects and initiatives and planning user research activities.

Requirements:

Experience of a range of qualitative and quantitative research techniques (including indepth interviews, focus groups, surveys and usability testing)
Setting research objectives and choosing appropriate methods
The ability to plan research and define protocols
Understanding of ethical considerations related to research
Theming and synthesis outputs from raw research to produce strategic insights
Communicating information to stakeholders and your team
Being able to work in an agile and flexible way within an agile project
Leadership and guidance to others, including team members and other stakeholders
Mentoring less experienced researchers to develop their skills

This is more than a project-facing role, and there will be opportunity for contributing to the development of organisational methods and standards for user research within Zaizi.
