My client situated in Morecambe is looking for a CNC (Miller/Turner) Setter/Operator for an immediate start.

This is a day shift position.

Position available for an experienced CNC Miller, Turner CNC Miller/Turner working in small to medium batch work.

Required to set, operate and program variety of CNC machine tools, including 5 Axis mill/turn machines.

Hitting the ground running to help clear a backlog of work, involved in solving problems from moving work between machines and covering of holidays.


Essential:

  • Minimum 2 years CNC setting and operating
  • Editing of ISO programs, where required
  • In process inspection
  • Reading technical drawings
  • Working through the workload at a timely manner to help achieve monthly targets
  • Liaising with other sections to enable smooth workflow


On occasions you may also be required to work in other areas and on other machines to help the needs of the business.


The current pay offer for this position is £16.00 per hour (£30,784/annum) depending on experience, we believe 3 months on the job training will also be required, further rates can also be attained after 1st year.


Your standard working week will be 37 hours; however you may be required to work overtime as and when required to suit the needs of the business.

All overtime is paid at standard rate + 1⁄2 except Sunday which is paid at double rate.

Standard hours of work are as follows:

  • Mon -Thu 7.30am to 4.00pm
  • Fri 7.30am to 12.30pm
Annual Holiday entitlement is 28 days + 8 statutory days.

Or alternatively you can choose to work the following hours.

  • Mon
  • Thu 6.30am4.15pm giving you flexibility for a long weekend off.


A pension scheme is available where the company and employee contribute 5% and a simply healthcare plan is in place.
