**As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in a classroom setting


Your duties will include:

Job Duties:


  • Assisting the teacher in implementing individual education plans for students with SEN
  • Supporting students with their learning and development
  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Providing onetoone support to students as required
  • Assisting with classroom management and behaviour strategies
  • Collaborating with other staff members and professionals to support student progress

Required Qualifications:


  • Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Relevant experience working with children or young people with SEN
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:


  • Experience working as support worker
  • Knowledge of SEN and different learning needs
  • Ability to adapt and respond to individual student requirements
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding towards students with SEN

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools
  • Diploma in Health and Social care
  • Training in Manual Handling and Safeguarding
  • First Aid certification

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
