An exciting opportunity has arisen within a highly established charity for a
Recovery Worker to join their service in Northamptonshire.
Location:
Wellingborough
Hours: 37.5 per week
Shifts: 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday
Length: - 3 months, with the possibility of extension and permanent work
Daily duties:
- Manage a large caseload of clients with complex needs e.g. Drug and Alcohol issues and Substance Misuse
- Carrying out client assessments and coordinate a personcentred recovery plan to promote effective recovery including referrals to other community agencies
- Provide support and advice to service users, their families and potential service users about harm reduction
- Identify achievable goals and incorporate those within recovery plans, ensuring that clients are able to work through their plans successfully
- Carry out risk assessments and reviews with special attention to safeguarding concerns
- Facilitate client contact and communicate via telephone, online and facetoface to encourage and ensure safe engagement in treatment
Essential Requirements:
- Knowledge of clients who have drug and alcohol issues and how to promote effective recovery
- An Enhanced DBS with the Adults and Children's list from within the last 3 years or the willingness to obtain one
