Description

The main focus for this role is to support the delivery of teaching including O&G and any planning and daily organisation of rotation programmes for medical students years 1 to 5.

Designing creative teaching resources with a focus upon clinical reasoning, workshops, simulation and clinical teaching.

Reflection upon teaching experiences and student evaluation, to particiapte in quality improvement projects to ensure that we provide high quality teaching and support for our medical students.

Collaberative working with the wider team and cross site working to support all teaching programmes, is essential.

To network with clinicians, nurses and health care professionals to identify and allocate clinical placements and interprofessional learning.

To be an excellent professional role model for medical students and trainees, supporting students academically and with remediation where required.

Patient recruitment (GDPR) for student exams and teaching.

Personal development and access to staff development opportunities with Newcastle Medical School and the completion of the PG certificate in medical education.

Clinical work in an area of personal interest in a supernumary capacity for 2 PA's per week
