Looking for a new career opportunity? I am excited to be supporting a leading Law Company in Cardiff, in their search for a permanent Credit Controller.


As the Credit Controller, you will play a vital role in the centralised finance team, ensuring an efficient, high-quality finance function for the fee-earning community of the law firm.

You will be responsible for minimising overdue debt, managing the credit control function, maintaining the sales ledger, and reporting on the status of debt and overdue accounts.


This is what you'll be doing:

  • Implementing effective credit control procedures to minimise overdue debt
  • Daytoday management of the credit control function
  • Proactively contacting customers to ensure invoices are paid within agreed payment terms
  • Maintaining the sales ledger and processing allocations
  • Assisting the Lead Partners with creditrelated issues and developing new methodologies to improve cash collection

The experience you'll bring to the team:

  • Previous credit control experience within a highly regulated environment (legak or utlities)
  • Knowledge of SRA accounting rules
  • Broader knowledge of accounting procedures
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to selfmanage
  • Strong communication with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to produce accurate financial reports
