About the Team
Citi is a leading global financial services company having 200 million customer accounts.

Citi does business in more than 100 countries, providing consumers, corporations, governments and institutions with a broad range of financial products and services, includingconsumer banking and credit, corporate and investment banking, securities brokerage and wealth management.

Responsibilities:

Provide strong handson engineering leadership driving key architectural decisions and implementing frameworks in the big data space
Lead a large global project team of software engineers delivering engineering solutions solving complex business problems for Citi's Market Risk user community which includes Risk management, Sales and Trading, Capital Optimization and Regulatory reportinggroups.
Ensure solutions implemented by the team adhere to the appropriate architectural and data models in the systems. Utilize indepth knowledge of technical and business domain concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolveissues.
Enforce SDLC best practices for effectively managing the codebase.
Influence and negotiate with senior technical leaders from partner teams of software engineers, devops and production support staff to deliver robust software solutions. Ensure the team is collaborating effectively across functions.

Skills:

Big data development with extensive handson experience with Spark programming
Strong knowledge of big data technologies like Hive and spark
Strong Knowledge in one of Java/Scala programming languages
Experience in designing solutions basec on big data / spark methodology of development
Should be familiar with algorithms and design patterns
Familiarity with Linux environment including scripting skills

SDLC/Dev Ops

Git/BitBucket, CI/CD pipeline frameworks such as Jenkins, SonarQube, JIRA, Any secure coding toolkits

Knowledge & Experience**:

5+ years in a technical leadership role, with experience leading global technology teams.
5+ years of handson experience in Big Data development using Spark, Hive on batch and real time processing
Experience with Market Risk is a significant advantage.

Education:

Graduate in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) discipline.
Master's degree preferred

Strong leadership
Ability to collaborate effectively in a large global team and influence key architectural decision
Ability to work well under pressure
