About Us

Tender Care Nurseries were established in Canterbury Tender Care is an Ofsted rated 'Good' 74 place, private day nursery, located within 10 minute walk from Croydon town centre. We offer full time and part time care to children aged between 3 months and 5 years of age.

We are looking for practitioners to be part of our nursery team and community and we offer training and ongoing professional development plus workplace pension. The Job

We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic qualified nursery practitioners to join our private day care setting in Croydon. This will be at our branch based on Canterbury Road. The specific role is based in either our baby unit, toddler room or pre school room depending on the needs of the nursery.

You will be working alongside a dedicated and knowledgeable staff team. As a nursery practitioner you are a key member of the nursery team responsible for delivering high quality care and learning opportunities for children, based on the needs and interests of those children. Some of the duties will include:

• Promoting positive relationships with parents, children and colleagues.
• Ensure health and safety and well-being of the children.
• Support the children's development, learning and play during your hours.
• Providing inspiration to nursery children through exciting activities in all areas of learning whilst incorporating the EYFS.
• Smooth and efficient handovers to parents and carers.

We are looking for experienced nursery nurses who have an NVQ3 OR Level 3 Diploma in childcare to join our growing team.

The following requirements are also essential:

• To have worked with under 5's in a nursery environment.
• Possess an NVQ 2 or 3.
• The ability to write quality observations.
• Possess a sound knowledge of the EYFS curriculum.
• Planning skills & Tracking skills or experience.

Desirable:

• Possess a rolling DBS
• Paediatric First Aid
• Safeguarding Children

Other:

20 hours a week - 4 hour shifts between the hours of 10.00am and 2.00pm Monday-Friday - Term Time only.

Salary ranges from £ £13.00 dependent on age and experience.
