Sales and Account Officer
Salary:
£30,000 pa
Working Hours: 35 hours per week, including weekends when necessary
Reports to:
Head of Property Management
Sales and Account Officer post will be a key role, which will focus on the development and the finance management of existing and new client relationships.
We are a small team so there is a need to be flexible about sharing tasks and helping colleagues when necessary, liaising and working closely with Heads of Department,
Managers, Building Services Team, Reception, all external and internal clients in order to ensure smooth running of the multi-functional operation.
SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The following is an overview of the role. It is not an exhaustive list.
- Meet, or where appropriate, exceed the income targets set for Space Hire and Outreach opportunities.
- Proactively develop relationships with new and existing clients
- Be a key part of the Operations' Team developing and proposing strategies to improve the management of the service and increase the number of internal and external events in line with the Charity's longterm strategic objectives
- Work with the Head of Departments to ensure seamless connectivity between the front of house team and building services' team, managing bookings, ensuring appropriate and optimum usage of the various spaces.
- Managing internal and external resources, producing reports, preevents and post
- Work with the Building Manager to ensure hire spaces are prepared and presented in accordance with the information provided on _Yes Plan _and so meet the needs and expectations of the client.
- Responsible for the maintenance and development of the current software planning platform (Yes Plan)
- Assist the Head of Property Management and Building Services' Manager in keeping Health and Safety procedures up to date and fit for purpose, and to make sure that the procedures are adhered to so that staff, tenants, young people and hirers are kept safe.
- Conduct client site visits.
- Work with the Finance Manager to ensure that all financial data related to hires is accurate and wellmanaged including the inputting of data, the raising of invoices and the timely oversight of credit control.
- Act as initial representative of Wac Arts with Schools, Community centres and Youth groups.
- Liaison with Outreach Manager on potential Outreach leads.
- Ensure all Risk Assessments are uptodate and accessible
- Contribute to an open, creative, and collaborative team culture.
- Support Wac Arts marketing, and communications strategies by providing information and data with colleagues on request
- Comply with Wac Arts' Equal Opportunities, Safeguarding, Health & Safety, Data Protection, and other policies at all times.
- Provide data and reports for internal and external parties as required.
- Support with fundraisers, festivals, commissioned works and other creative events.
- Undertake other tasks as directed by your line manager.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience
- Knowledge and experience of managing / producing events and developing new business relationships
- Previous experience in dealing with the public in a customer focussed environment to ensure a high quality service is maintained.
- Experience of administrating an IT based booking or room allocation system.
- Enhanced DBS clearance.
- A positive outlook
- Entrepreneurial and able to deliver to target on small and micro budgets
- Approachable, personable and confident manner while remaining professional at all times.
- Selfmotivated and results driven
- Problem solver
- Excellent project and time management skills and the ability to prioritise effectively, often working to tight deadlines.

- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to deal tactfully and diplomatically with a wide range of people and the ability to communicate positively with Wac Arts key stakeholders.
