Description
The post holder has primary responsibility for ensuring the smooth and effective implementation of the FREED pathway. This will involve considerable liaison with, and education of, Primary Care Services, to promote the new treatment pathway.

The post holder manages all referrals for this pathway in conjunction with other team members and offers initial triage and assessment, as well as providing evidence-based interventions for the FREED-eligible client group.

The post holder is based with Adult Eating Disorder Community Team at the Barberry but will work across services to support the implementation of FREED in both CYP and adult pathways.

In addition, the post holder is responsible for liaising and working with other professionals as appropriate, alongside the promotion and development in the service of the FREED approach.


The post holder will lead with other senior colleagues the continuing development of a high-quality service that is underpinned by evidence-based practice and care pathways / packages and NICE guidance and DH guidance; contributing to service development and delivery in conjunction with the other senior clinicians, and Service Leads.

The post holder will also have responsibility for the day-to-day supervision and management of lower banded staff within the teams as required by the line manager, this may include the management of these staff in line with agreed Trust HR processes.

The post holder will be expected to work collaboratively with key partner organisations, service users, carers, clinicians and other practitioners within the multi-disciplinary team in delivering services; working flexibly where appropriate and operationally required.
