Our client, a well-established alternative asset manager and UCITS platform, is looking to hire a Business Development Director to join the Global sales effort.

The core objective of the role will be raising assets from Institutional and Intermediary Investorsthat are most suitable to their Private Equity product range.


Key responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for driving sales and inflows for the firm's range of Private Equity funds
  • Proactively identify sales opportunities and materialise net new inflows, working in collaboration with regional sales managers
  • Consistently refreshing an opportunity pipeline by creating new and relevant relationships
  • Liaise with Portfolio Managers for roadshow briefings and investor feedback
  • Proactively take ownership of the entire sales process, whilst working closely with internal Sales, Marketing and Operations teams to meet investors' needs
  • Actively maintain the CRM system with updates on all current and prospective investors
  • Help promote the firm's brand and strengthen client relationships by being the face and voice of the business and providing outstanding customer service
  • Stay informed about financial markets in order to spot trends, look for new opportunities and establish credibility with new clients by understanding their business

Skills required:

  • Solid experience in Fundraising for Private Equity strategies
  • A successful demonstrable track record of raising assetsin a similar role
  • Strong network of Private Equity investors across Europe
  • Fluent English + additional European language would be a plus
  • Experience in dealing with clients both facetoface and on the telephone
  • Sound knowledge of financial markets, ideally with a hedge fund or a traditional fund management firm


  • Solid computer skills

  • Salesforce, or similar CRM system, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Clientdriven; high levels of client service, proactive problem resolution, longterm view to relationship building
  • Entrepreneurial and business builder mindset, able to combine niche local market knowledge with an understanding of wider business impact
  • Highly entrepreneurial, driven and selfmotivated
  • Highly organised and experienced with managing relationships at all levels including senior management
