The University of Greenwich, School of Science is seeking to appoint two (2) enthusiastic, highly motivated, and reliable Cell Culture Assistants.
As a Cell Culture Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in keeping a research cell culture lab up and running to support diverse projects of academic staff and studentsYour responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of cell culture media, reagents, and supplies
- Maintaining diverse cell cultures by feeding and passaging cells
- Disposing waste materials safely and in compliance with regulations
- Assisting with the upkeep and sterilization of equipment and workspaces
- Supporting students in their cell culture lab learning experience
Experience and Skills
- Experience in handling cells and cell culturerelated preparations
- Ability to engage with and support a diverse range of academic staff and students
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Excellent timekeeping and punctuality skills
- Ability to behave in a manner which reflects the University values and creates a positive environment
