The University of Greenwich, School of Science is seeking to appoint two (2) enthusiastic, highly motivated, and reliable Cell Culture Assistants.

As a Cell Culture Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in keeping a research cell culture lab up and running to support diverse projects of academic staff and students


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of cell culture media, reagents, and supplies
  • Maintaining diverse cell cultures by feeding and passaging cells
  • Disposing waste materials safely and in compliance with regulations
  • Assisting with the upkeep and sterilization of equipment and workspaces
  • Supporting students in their cell culture lab learning experience

Experience and Skills

  • Experience in handling cells and cell culturerelated preparations
  • Ability to engage with and support a diverse range of academic staff and students
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Excellent timekeeping and punctuality skills
  • Ability to behave in a manner which reflects the University values and creates a positive environment
