Description
Job IntroductionTo provide administrative support to the Manufacturing Department to ensure the smooth running of operational, manufacturing and related activities for BRUSH Transformers.
To liaise with other departments where required to ensure that all administrative tasks and activities are undertaken in a timely and effective manner.
This role has responsibility for organising the correct documentation to enable the manufacturing team to conduct efficient activities with the production environment.
- Organising training requirements maintaining records, in conjunction with the H&S Team.
- Health, Safety and Environmental documentation to meet legal and compliance obligations.
- Support Environmental and Social Governance Team.
- Preparing manufacturing build documentation packs.
- Maintaining manufacturing quality compliance systems.
- Monitoring and updating departmental KPI's
- Support with the development of Standard Operating Procedures and Risk Assessments.
- Maintain and update current documentation where required.
- Scan & catalogue drawings and other historical data.
- Obtain quotations.
- Create purchase requisitions.
- Implement & place purchase orders and liaise with Procurement & Tendering teams.
- Undertake departmental Invoice administration.
- Complete Supplier / Contractor questionnaires and request support from other teams in doing so.
- Process timesheets and overtime requests accurately and on time.
- Complete stationery and workwear ordering.
- Support with the cloud based documentation system.
- Administer the SHEIO (Safety, Health, Environmental, Improvement Opportunities) System.
- Preparing and uploading manufacturing communications.
Qualifications
- Good standard of general education including GCSE or equivalent passes in Maths & English.
- Relevant vocational business administrative qualification or completed apprenticeship in related framework or standard.
Skills & Knowledge & Experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to interact at all business levels.
- A clear understanding of Microsoft office systems and related software including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
- Ability to be inquisitive, seek understanding and adopt new approaches to increase effectiveness.
- Flexible and willingness to adapt to changes in business requirements and priorities
- Numerate with ability to maintain records and understand and interpret data
- Ability to plan and prioritise work effectively
- Good understanding of Health, safety, quality and environmental standards and procedures.
- Proven track record in developing and maintaining highly effective working relationships
