We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and motivated person who enjoys part of a team. This is an opportunity to join the Fareham 2 Community Care Team as a Patient Support Administrator. You must have excellent communication and IT skills commensurate with this role.

The position is based at Unit A6 Alpha Court (Segensworth) but travel may be required to cover other sites. There may include weekend and Bank Holiday working on a rotational basis.

You will be responsible for day to day administration tasks such as managing referrals, booking appointments, making and receiving telephone calls, ordering supplies and all other administrative duties as required by the service


We are looking for someone who likes to be busy; works well in a team and is able to communicate well with staff and members of the public.

You will be an effective and experience administrator, comfortable with using your own initiative.


As a team player, you'll be able to prioritise your work in order to meet deadlines and have a customer focused approach.

Previous experience of working within an NHS environment is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Main Duties & Tasks

  • To provide comprehensive administrative support for the Integrated Care Teams (ICT).
  • The post holder will have responsibility for the day to day administration, and booking of nursing visits working in collaboration with the clinical and nonclinical team members.
  • To provide an excellent customer service experience for all patients at all times.
  • To record outpatient attendance and take messages for all staff groups
  • To update the RiO system in accordance with standard operating procedures
  • To provide cross site cover to support the needs of the service

Essential Qualifications

  • GCSE 'O' level education including English and Maths
  • Grade C or above
