_ An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as part of NHS Professionals Limited Executive Team based in either Hemel Hempstead or Leeds with some home working days._


We are seeking a driven and highly skilled Executive Assistant to provide direct support to the Chief Nurse and Director of Clinical Services and Chief Finance Officer.


You will enjoy creating order out of chaos, have great people skills, and are trustworthy enough to handle both personal and internal company matters with complete discretion.

This is an exciting role for someone who wants to be able to make a difference to the executive committee and the wider business and who has worked at Director or Senior level previously.


The role of Executive Assistant provides high quality, confidential and comprehensive business, administrative and secretarial support to the Chief Nurse and Director of Clinical Services and Chief Finance Officer.

Working closely with the Directorates to help ensure the smooth operation and efficiency of the business. In this fast paced, exciting role, no two days will be the same.


Key Tasks:


  • To achieve a comprehensive understanding of NHS Professionals and the roles and responsibilities of the ExCo members, Directors and Senior Managers, in order to best support the Directorate and organisation.
  • To plan, coordinate and organise everchanging and comprehensive diaries, travel, accommodation and schedules, including meetings and conference events with external senior stakeholders.
  • Provide a highlevel administrative support to the department, including the drafting and preparation of letters, reports and presentations as required.
  • To deal with matters with discretion and complete confidentiality.
  • Support other Directors in the absence of other Executive Assistants as required.

  • You're very detail oriented. Mistakes jump out at you and you are happy to correct other people's work including mistakes, typos and grammatical errors.
  • You are highly organised, nothing gets lost or forgotten. You pride yourself on making sure everything is prepared and on time with high attention to detail.
  • You would like a job where your talents could be fully utilised instead of being underutilised.
  • You have a lot of experience in keeping tasks organised for others: their diaries, their documentation and their correspondence and make sure nothing is missed.
  • You have proven systems for making sure things happen on time and are correct.
  • Your written and spoken English is superb.
  • You have often dealt with very senior people and successfully persuaded them to complete tasks on time.
  • You follow procedures diligently
  • You don't feel restricted by systems and processes. You consider them to be tools that help you accomplish projects quickly
