Activity Alliance is the leading voice for disabled people in sport and activity. Established in 1998 as a national charity, we were previously known as the English Federation of Disability Sport. Our vision is fairness for disabled people in sport and activity. Sport and activity play an important role in our nation's health. We want to create a fair society for everyone. About our programmes
Activity Alliance's programme delivery goes far beyond achieving set KPIs and outcomes. It provides an opportunity to achieve our organisational goals.

Through implementing our programmes strategy, it is our ambition to:


  • Genuinely coproduce programmes delivering change for disabled people in sport and activity.
  • Use programme delivery to translate insight into action, to better engage and support disabled people in sport and activity.
  • Work in partnership, ensuring programme delivery, evaluation and learning informs and evolves inclusive practice of commissioners, key stakeholders, deliverers, and collaborators.

Role purpose
We are looking for a proactive, dynamic, and engaging individual with experience in programme co
- ordination and delivery to support Activity Alliance in achieving its charitable aims by:

  • Supporting the effective delivery of Activity Alliance Programmes in line with programme objectives, budget, and available resource.
  • Supporting implementation of processes and systems that underpin the delivery of highquality programmes.
  • Proactively collaborating across the organisation to ensure effective delivery and integration of programmes.


The post holder will be managed by the Programme Manager and will be expected to work closely with all colleagues to ensure effective delivery of our programmes.

Key responsibilities

Programme strategy and evaluation

  • Supports the operational delivery of programme strategy and operational plans.

Programme development and communications

  • Supports the implementation of sustainability plans.
  • Contributes ideas to evolve existing and new programmes.
  • Supports and collaborates with our Marketing and Communication colleagues to increase the organisations visibility, supporting effective internal communications and championing inclusive communications.

Programme management and impact measurement

  • Implements effective programme coordination and delivery.
  • Working with the Communications Advisor (programmes) implements programme marketing and communication plans ensuring that required actions are achieved and recorded.
  • Working with our Research, Evaluation and Insight colleagues implements programme monitoring, evaluation and reporting frameworks including specific responsibility for data analysis and interpretation in addition to supporting production of reports both internally and externally.
  • Supports the development and distribution of resources and products to achieve all programme objectives.
  • Represents the organisation externally at events and conferences, working with multi agency/cross sector (disability and sport) working groups.
  • Contributes to the organisation's reporting activities, including but not limited to the Annual Report.

Partnership management

  • Ensures relevant information is shared with programme partners to maintain better practice and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Supports line manager with daytoday contact with delivery partners, contractors and collaborators.
  • Deals with enquiries and potential issues to support the continued engagement of delivery partners.

People management

  • Works closely with all other teams within the organisation.
  • Acts as a role model within the Programmes team and champions inclusive programme practices with others.
