Hexthorpe Primary Academy has an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join their team to help children to overcome barriers to learning so that they can achieve their full potential.

  • Working with individual children, identifying the current barriers to learning, adjusting learning activities and monitoring progress towards set targets.
  • Providing bespoke provision for those with specific needs.
  • Establishing a positive, professional relationship with children, colleagues and families.

We are looking for individuals who have:

  • Recent and relevant experience working in a primary setting, and of working with children with specific needs or challenging behaviour.
  • The ability to utilise strategies to support pupils in achieving learning goals.
  • The drive to learn and develop to adapt and improve how things are done.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and equal opportunities.
