We are looking to appoint a Maths Lecturer (Hourly Paid Associate) to join our teams based at our James Watt College, Matthew Boulton College and Sutton Coldfield College


We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic and flexible lecturer to deliver GCSE Maths and/or Functional Skills Maths building upon present innovative methods of delivery and assessment to support learners in making progress in their skills, knowledge and behaviours.

The lecturer will be expected to deliver to classes, cover for absent colleagues and deliver intervention and support to the student and apprentice cohort.


Our teachers are expected to use innovative methods of delivery to effectively implement the curriculum intent, establishing starting points and tracking learners' progress, recording this effectively, and liaising with colleagues and college management to ensure all learners progress and achieve.


The role will involve working with a range of directorates to develop delivery of Maths for students on study programmes, along with teaching adults on stand-alone courses.

Lecturers will assess and internally quality assure summative assessment according to Awarding Organisation procedures.
