The job itself:


A vacancy has arisen for a Road worker level 1 within the in-house Network surfacing Team who deliver the day-to-day maintenance of the highway network within the East Riding.


We seek reliable, hard-working, and enthusiastic individual to join our successful team to deliver a range of projects from small scale patching works to county wide paver surfacing operations, together with Surface dressing through the summer months.


The Highways Team have a strong 'can do' attitude which is focussed on delivering high standards of work to all highway users.


A NRSWA Operative certificate would be advantageous although training can be provided, as would knowledge and experience of Construction Health and Safety legislation, in relation to highways works.

The vacancy is available at the Hedon Highways depot. You will work a standard 37-hour week Monday to Friday plus an additional 2 hour's contractual overtime.

Additional overtime is also worked on a planned basis with the potential to increase the salary on average to around £29,265 per annum.
