A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Estimator with at least 5 years experience to join a leading Civil Engineering company, that specialise in Groundworks.

The company is family run, and they are an advocate in rewarding hard work, and have a great work culture.

As an Estimator your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Preparing detailed cost budgets and estimates for projects
  • Conduct thorough Bill of Quantities reconciliation to ensure accurate costing.
  • Perform detailed takeoffs, measuring quantities of materials required for the project.
  • Cost Planning
  • Source supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure a competitive and accurate tender is submitted
  • Ensure estimates take into consideration applicable legislation and recognised industry standards on HSQ
  • Identify potential cost risks
  • Regular site visits
  • Confidently liaise and maintain a good working relationship with Clients and attend precontract meetings when needed
  • Proactively seeking new business development opportunities

Requirements:


  • Degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as an Estimator in the groundworks and civil engineering sector.
  • Strong knowledge of groundworks and civil engineering construction methodologies.
  • Experience is cost estimation.

Salary:
From £70,000.00 per year
