Salary:
£22,000 - £25,000 (Depending on experience) + bonus + pension + full training provided


Type:
Permanent, Full Time

Hours of work: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Whilst training the hours will be Once training completed you will be added to the shift rota. A degree of flexibility is needed to meet the demands of the business.


The Company:

- generation family owned and operated business. A founder member of the Palletforce Network and responsible for the delivery and collection of pallets across the South West & Beyond. We are currently seeking a Transport Operations Administrator to assist in the operational & transport administration within the office and the daily planning of collection and delivery routes across Somerset,Devon,Dorset and beyond.


The Person:

You will be in good physical health and have a proven knowledge of the Somerset, Devon and Dorset area and will have the ability to work as part of a tight knit team to achieve the requirements of the business and be able to demonstrate the following attributes:

The Role:


The main purpose of the role is to assist and support the smooth running of the day to day business operations within the transport office to meet required service levels.


The Transport Operations Administrator has responsibility for supporting management in the running of the Transport Operations aspect of the operation.

Key relationships will be with Drivers, Operational Staff, The Management Team, Palletforce Network, Customers and suppliers.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Administering driver paperwork
  • Allocating driver scanning devices & mobile phones
  • Checking delivery, scanning and driver performance
  • Answering and making telephone calls as required
  • Sortation and filing of daily transport paperwork within the operation
  • Assist with transport data input to our TMS system
  • Ongoing communication with other pallet networks to discuss any issues
  • Ongoing communication with drivers
  • Taking collection orders from the Customer and allocating them to drivers
  • Identifying and recording any discrepancies between actual freight received
  • Completing daily and weekly reports as required
  • Checking and monitoring our inhouse systems
  • Ongoing liaison with the Customer Service Department to identify and address any issues with customers
  • Understanding of vehicle maintenance schedules and communicating to the relevant channels
  • Assiting in overall transport administration as directed

Salary:
£22,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
