Specification Sales Manager - Flooring

The Role:

The Specification Sales Manager will be responsible for selling a range of flooring solutions & accessories such as: LVT, carpet tiles, matting, flooring trims, skirting, non-slip finishes, and stair edgings through specification.

You will be working on projects across the education, healthcare, and commercial sectors specifying in with Architects, Designers, and Principal Contractors.

Following this, the Specification Sales Manager will follow the process through via national & independentdistribution & reseller accounts across the region.

Our client are looking for someone to cover the North East and North Yorkshire region as far south as Leeds.


The Specification Sales Manager will be at the front-end of the sales process with Architects (40%) follow the process with the Flooring Contractors (40%) and then follow through with the actual transaction via the reseller partners (20%) this is thereforea truly cradle to grave sales process which is project driven.


In addition, the Specification Sales Manager will conduct monthly CPD's and be on the road four days per week with one day in the home-office on average.

You will be supported by a regional Area Sales Manager who deals with the Distribution accounts on adaily basis so working as a part of a team is a must for success in the position.

They have recently mergedwith another market leading brand in flooring which has added to their basket of goods that can be specified in across different levels of projects.


We are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Have a track record of specification selling with Architects, Designers, and in-house Spec Teams
  • Understand the process of selling to contractors and pulling sales through distribution
  • A hunger, desire, and passion to find new specification projects
  • Understanding of the sales process within the construction industry
  • Clear communicator both written and verbal
  • Team player, organised, and have strong sales potential
  • Full & Clean Driving licence

Salary:
Up to £50,000 basic salary DOE + 35% OTE + Hybrid Car + Pension + healthcare after 1 year + 26 days holiday
