Role:

As a P-way Engineer, you will assist with the provision of technical support to the Project team for the planning and delivery of track renewals ensuring technical aspects of all works comply with relevant Group and Line Standards and safety legislation.

Responsibilities:

Assist with the provision of technical support to the project team.
Monitor and ensure technical compliance on all works, site and office.
Ensure all works are undertaken all works in compliance with Contractual Specification and Group and Line Standards.
Ensure compliance with all relevant Safety Legislation.
Undertake all technical aspects of works in compliance with Group and Line Standards.
Assist with and attend Whiteboard/Stage Gate meetings in accordance with Track Renewals Procedure producing the required outputs to support effective and robust delivery of the works to completion.
Review completed works to ensure 'Best Practice' and 'Lessons Learnt' activities are captured, recorded and utilised in future work planning and execution.

Essential Experience:

Extensive experience of a broad range of relevant Engineering field.
Must be able to carry out surveying and setting out duties using traditional and modern equipment, including total stations technology. Must be able to work independently without supervision.
Must be able to carry out control of excavation and construction of track duties using traditional and modern equipment, including 3D and total stations technology. Must be able to work independently without supervision.
HNC in an Engineering discipline or working towards.
Competencies as specified in the appropriate Core Competence profile
Good IT skills.
Good communication and man management skills.
Able to drive or willing to learn.
