Stores Assistant

Main Purpose of the Job

Working under instruction from the Buyer, dealing with various aspects of the delivery and receipt of goods and the preparation of material / kits for the engineers.

Knowledge & Understanding of Electrical Product would be advantageous.
Reporting Procedure

Postholder is responsible to the Buyer.


Authorisation Responsibilities

Main Duties

• Ensure all processes are adhered to.
• Ensure safe working practices are followed.
• Receipt of Goods/Checking goods.
• Preparation of Materials instructed by the Contracts Managers via the Buyer.
• Stores Materials Costing.
• Washing / Valeting of Company Fleet Vehicles as and when required.
• Delivery and Collection of Materials/Plant etc as required.
• Basic fleet maintenance and assistance with fleet logistics.
• General upkeep of Office Premises and grounds.
• Operate within the Company's Health & Safety policy.
• Read and Understand the Quality Statement.
• Read and understand company objectives.
• Undertake any other duties appropriate to the grade as determined by theBuyer.

Qualifications and Experience

Postholder must have a good working knowledge and experience in dealing with the following:1) Working within the Buying Department

2) A basic knowledge and understanding of the electrical industry and the associated materials.

3) Valid Driving Licence

Post holder must be properly self confident and have the ability to work on own initiative.

A general working knowledge of Health & Safety practices is desirable.

Salary:
£7.71-£12.09 per hour


Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• No weekends

• Glasgow: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

• Electrical Product experience (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (required)
