Description

We offer full day care for children aged 0-8 years. Opening times 7:00am-6:00pm all year round Excluding Christmas to New year and bank holidays.

General duties:

Organising a consistent daily routine for children, including sufficient meal times, nap times, playtimes, and educational activities
Supporting children's development, such as providing activities that develop their understanding of the world and help them learn new skills
Monitoring and recording children's progress and their interests to provide more tailored support in the future
Spotting any behavioural or developmental problems that arise and discussing these with parents to help get the child extra support
Preparing and cooking healthy meals or snacks for children to promote a healthy diet, while also considering specific dietary needs and any potential allergens
Supervising children to ensure their safety at all times
Introducing basic concepts to children when playing, such as sharing and turntaking
Supporting high levels of hygiene, such as changing children out of their dirty clothes or making sure they wash their hands after the toilet
Changing nappies and assisting toddlers with potty training

Providing challenging and stimulating age appropriate activities for all children:

Taking part in First Aid training as required
Responsibility for equal opportunity in delivery, access and attitude in aspects of service delivery
Observe, assess and support children's development and progress
Preparing and maintaining the environment and resources for the children.
Following Safeguarding and health and safety regulations to support the nursery to maintain their ofsted standardA GCSE grade C/4 or above in Maths and English or equivalent
A passion for childcare and have a basic understanding of Early Years
Some childcare experience whether that is personal or professional.
