However, as that site will not be operational until early 2025 in the interim period you will be required to carry out your contractual duties from Vauxhall, or such other reasonable location, on a temporary basis. For the avoidance of doubt as your contractual place of work is Stratford, the move from any temporary place of work will not give rise to any entitlement to payments for travel time or costs under the Relocation and Excess Travel Policy.

The NCA has a wide remit and we are looking for committed individuals to join us in a Business Support capacity, to provide vital administrative and professional expertise across all departments in the NCA.

There are business support roles within our operational and capabilities(non-operational) functions.

To be considered, you will need to successfully complete SC Enhanced clearance before commencing the role. Some roles will also require you to achieve DV clearance within the first 12 months in post. Applicants must be willing to undergo DV clearance checking if required.

Person specification:

As a Senior Business Support Officer you could be assigned of the following commands:
IPS, Intelligence, Threat Leadership, NECC.

We also have a wide variety of business support opportunities within our Capabilities function, they are:
Human Resources, Corporate Business Services (CBS), Legal and Strategy & Change.


The responsibilities below are a summary of what can be involved within your duties dependant on which business area you are with:

  • To manage and lead a team responsible for providing business support and governance to operations, corporate and central functions, and contribute towards the achievement of the strategic objectives of the NCA.
  • To develop, implement and improve core delivery functions.
  • Support services and support the development and implementation of strategy and policy.
  • Manage projects, resources, programmes, planning activities to ensure work is completed within agreed timescales/budgets and quality standards, in line with NCA policy.
  • Develop and manage high level relationships with stakeholders to ensure productive collaborative working.
  • Manage change activity and communicate proposed changes with staff and stakeholders.
  • Manage the quality, secure handling and dissemination of data/ information and develop policy, reports, procedures and manage data systems across business area.
  • Manage/coach and develop officers with potential line management duties dependant on business areas.
  • Advising and negotiating with stakeholders on policies and risk.
  • Identifying recruitment opportunities externally/internally and managing MI data.
