CareerMakers are currently looking for a '
Administrator' for one of our clients in the
Middleton area.

The role includes:


  • Notetaking minutes for meetings, training sessions and toolbox talks (briefings).
  • Typing up Site Inspection Reports and Site Audit Reports from dictation; where necessary accompanying Site Inspections and Site Walkarounds in the capacity as a scribe.
  • Managing the Health & Safety department personnel files.
  • Managing the training records and associated training matrix.
  • Collecting completed Visitor and Third-Party Site Rules, upload to the hub and replenish sheets at source i.e., weighbridge office and reception.
  • Manage the job ticketing system: logging and passing them onto the relevant person to be actioned and regularly chasing up any outstanding job tickets.
  • Complete the Environmental Site Diary, liaising with the relevant persons involved and collecting regular evidence of nuisance controls i.e., Wharton Lane pictures, and evidence of any remedial works.
  • Fuel tank data entry into the emissions calculator, for reporting.
  • Assisting in data gathering for periodic Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting.
  • Managing the PPE and hygiene consignment stock, including issuing PPE, uniform, and sundries; internal stock control, overseeing sample trials, ordering, invoice signoff and deductions (where applicable).
  • Manage the weekly workwear laundry service.
  • Assisting in the delivery of group training sessions, rollout of safety campaigns and the distribution of company notices and topical communications (i.e., memos, bulletins, posters, surveys).
  • Assisting with site familiarisation (H & S) inductions and the onboarding/ new starter process.
  • Managing the workshop and site order number system: being the gateway for all workshop and site purchase orders, inputting the necessary information onto the spreadsheet, checking the parts received correspond with the delivery note, uploading the delivery note onto the system and assisting with the invoice signoff process.
  • Assist in ordering workshop and site parts and equipment where necessary.
  • Support the H & S Administrator in holiday requests, staffing levels/ allocation and rotas.
  • Manage the telematics analysis and driver league tables.
  • Assist in downloading drivers digital tachograph cards.
  • To assist with general office administration and assistance.
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Previous administration assistant experience.
  • Computer literate with Microsoft packages.
  • Discretion and understanding of confidentiality issues.
  • Decisionmaking ability.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Fluent written and verbal English skills.
  • Good communication skills.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience working as a Health & Safety Administrator.
  • Knowledge of the waste & recycling industry associated terminology and processes.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety, Environmental and Transport terminology.

Monday - Friday

8am - 5pm


Payrate:

- £21,000
