Primary purpose To provide efficient administrative/clerical support to the Inclusion and Welfare,
of role School Admissions and School Organisation teams to facilitate the smooth running of the service.
This is a generic role profile which enables staff to work across all areas of the division.

- Minute taking
- Arranging maintenance works and support for property related issues
- Updating team web pages including Schools Directory
- Assisting with the preparation of the Directory4Services
Point of contact (30%):
- Providing advice to Headteachers, governors, managers, and general public
Data and databases (50%):
- Helping with the creation and maintenance of databases
- Assisting with the checking and updating of accommodation schedules; condition, capacity and suitability records; pupil records including children missing education
- Carry out other duties appropriate to the grade of the post
Essential Knowledge of current property/admissions regulations
qualifications/
- Understanding of national Education initiatives as they relate to capital
knowledge
programme, admissions and school organisation issues
- 2 GCSE (A*C/94) or equivalent in English and Mathematics
Desirable Understanding of the role of the modern local authority
qualifications/
- Some knowledge of premises security issues
knowledge
- Basic knowledge of health and safety requirements
Essential Reasonable experience of working within an environment dealing with
experience property, admissions and school organisation issues
- Reasonable experience of providing administrative support within an office environment
- Demonstrable experience of creating and working with spreadsheets and databases
- Experience of data entry

Essential skills Post holder is required to interpret information and solve straight forward problems. A line manager is available to refer more complex problems
- Communication skills required orally and in writing to respond to enquiries received from headteacher, governors, managers and the general public
- Keyboard skills required for writing letters, memos and reports. Post holder also required to input data to spreadsheets and graphs.
