The North STaffordshire Community CAMHS team are looking to recruit to a full time, Band 7 Team Leader.

As a key member of the team you will be accountable to the Service Manager and will have designated responsibility for the first line management and co-ordination of the team.


The post holder will be an active practitioner and will contribute directly to the clinical/ care activity of the team.


  • Deal with complaints in line with trust policy by working calmly and courteously to ensure that wherever possible complaints are dealt with efficiently and satisfactorily resolved.
  • Recruit and retain staff,
  • Deliver local induction training,
  • Deliver supervision, appraisal and performance development reviews,
  • Ensure that local training for students and postregistration students allocated to the area is delivered,
  • Organise access to and staff release for on the job and off site training,
  • Manage grievance, disciplinary, performance and sickness issues in accordance with Trust procedures.
  • Ensure the team is conversant with the trust major incident plan and local implementation requirements.

Manage and co-ordinate the team within its day to day activity ensuring that plans and targets are fulfilled.


Ensure that the team works to required standards in line with related Trust policies and that any failings are reported and corrected accordingly.
