Ruby Group are recruiting a Finance Manager position for a luxury retail business based in Central London. This company has a rich history and is one of the main suppliers in their field. This permanent position will be reporting to the Managing Directorand be in set in a team of 5.

The role offers an attractive salary package as well as 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, annual bonuses and hybrid working (3 days in the office 2 at home).


The purpose of the role will be to manage the company's day to day finance operations and be responsible for all financial management, budgeting, accounting, and reporting.


The main responsibilities are:

  • Oversee & manage the day to day financial transactions and activities including sales transactions, purchase orders, purchase invoicing, expenses and bank transactions, ensuring that the correct processes have been followed.
  • Closely monitor the company's short term and long term cash flow, keeping the company Directors informed of the forecasted position.
  • Review account listings, trial balances and other reports to ensure all financial data is properly and accurately recorded in the finance system.
  • Manage the monthend procedure including overseeing bank, sales & cost of sales reconciliations, prepayments and accruals and performing other balance sheet reconciliations, as well as reconciling stock against our stock management system.
  • Production of the monthly management accounts pack with detailed analysis and explanation of any variances to budget.
  • Production of other monthend and yearend reporting including stock and sales reports to assist with merchandising & production.
  • Manage monthly submissions for the company's pension scheme as well as maintaining starters, leavers and employee updates.
  • Monitor CapEx and expenditure to ensure projects are on track with spending, progress and reporting.
  • Work closely with managers and colleagues to plan, monitor and report on performance against budgets.
  • Preparation of Year-End Accounts Pack in readiness for Audit if necessary or accounts filing.
  • Work with all departments to prepare the annual & 3year forecasts including P&L, balance sheet & cash flows.
  • Oversee and sign off the company's quarterly VAT return.
  • Assist the Board in formulating strategic and longterm finance plans.
  • Keeping abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation and ensuring best financial management practice is applied at all times.
  • Preparing and developing financial models in excel.
  • Manage the biannual stock take of finished goods and components to ensure that the stock management system is accurate, investigating any variances.
  • Manage Companies House Filings.
  • Manage all necessary banking reporting & ensuring that all signatories are up to date.
