Description

As a key figure in the Sales, design and bid process, you will work primarily with one of the company directors and the wider technical Consultants design team, servicing enquiries from new and existing clients as well as introducing new clients and revenue streams to the company.

There will be a major focus on CCTV, Access Control, Networking, Systems Integration, Intruder Detection and Perimeter Detection in addition to the existing Data, AV and presentation systems.

Your role will be to maximise the client facing time of one or more Clients and to work with the wider Design team to ensure deadlines are met.

Once a project has been won, you will stay involved, working with the Projects/Operations team to ensure the proper transfer of, and implementation of the project to ensure it will be successfully completed within Budget and clients expectations.

• Have overall responsibility for sourcing new accounts which will deliver multidisciplined Installation & maintenance contracts, from initial contact to Support of delivery of initial contract, reporting of KPIs delivery of SLAs, responsibilities and all account development opportunities
• Provide monthly sales forecast and input to company delivery forecast and budgets
• Achieving set Sales Targets monthly/quarterly/annually
• To facilitate the relationship between the client and the business, ensuring that all contracted maintenance, Installation & Repair works are carried out correctly to meet customer's requirements. This will involve regular communication with Operational, Service, Admin, and working with the Delivery Team when required
• Provide Account Management in line with the Company's Quality Policy
• Provide support for the Bid Team when tendering multisite maintenance contracts, and following successful securing of the contracts, monitoring, and supporting the operational delivery
• To have an awareness of all works contract activities for all Key Account customers and assist in developing appropriate Sales Strategies for increased activity and profitability.
• Carry out site surveys to establish design inputs.
• Design systems to meet client operational requirements using company standard technology where possible.
• Produce schematic drawings of systems to compliment proposals using Company Approved Software.
• Produce cost estimates using company costing package (MS Excel based).
• Produce clear, competent system descriptions as a basis for the design/bid proposal. Contribute to the contract review process to ensure a smooth handover to projects/operations team.
• Working with the projects/operations team produce detailed drawings and schedules.
• Provide assistance to the consultants in the preparation of quotations, tenders, presentations and the winning of new projects.
• Contribute positively to our culture of continuous improvement.
• Input information into the company's Dynamics system.
• Work with the Technical Manager and Development Analysts to identify and qualify new technology and products.
• Work with the Compliance Manager to ensure that designs meet best practice and legislative guidelines.

• Very strong technical ability in CCTV, Access control and integrated security systems with the ability to quickly adapt and implement new disciplines as required by the role.

• Analogue signalling protocols, their uses and limitations including RS232,422,48
• An advanced understanding of IP CCTV systems.
• An understanding of IP networking concepts including the role of hubs, switches, routers and the 7 layer OSI model.
• An understanding of wide area networking technologies including VPNs, ADSL, DSL, leased lines, contention, asymmetric circuits.
• Experience of designing wireless IP systems including point to point, point to multipoint and mesh.
• An understanding of access control, intruder and integrated security systems.
• Experience of estimating mechanical and civil works.
• Experience of using Microsoft packages: Visio, Excel, Word to intermediate or advanced level.
• Experience of working with CCTV Systems including Hikvision, Axis, Avigilon.
• Experience of working with Access Control Systems including Lenel, CCure, Gallagher or similar
• Experience of video analytics/video content analysis.
• Experience of Autocad or Autocad compatible CAD programme.
