Art Academy East Ltd and Norwich Pottery Studio is an adult art college based in Sprowston, Norwich. We have large, light and warm studios within a shared building with free onsite parking.

We offer art and pottery courses to adult learners in an inclusive and supportive environment.

Job Summary:

Responsibilities:


Event Management and Promotion:

  • Develop and execute strategies to attract adult learners to the centre's various programs, classes, workshops, and events.
  • Coordinate all aspects of event management, including planning, scheduling, logistics, and staffing.
  • Collaborate with instructors and local artists to design and organise innovative and appealing artsrelated events that align with the interests and needs of adult learners.
  • Implement effective advertising and marketing campaigns to promote events both online and offline, maximizing their reach and driving attendance.
  • Monitor event responses and feedback to continuously improve and enhance the program offerings.

Social Media Management:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to effectively engage with the target audience across various platforms.
  • Create and curate captivating and visually appealing content in the form of photos, videos, blogs, and articles to promote the centre's activities, programs, and events.
  • Regularly update the centre's website and social media platforms with engaging content, event updates, and relevant news.
  • Monitor and respond to online inquiries, comments, and reviews promptly, ensuring strong customer engagement and satisfaction.
  • Analyse and report on social media performance.

Facility and Team Management:

  • Oversee the daytoday operations of the art centre, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for adult learners.
  • Manage a team of instructors, staff, and volunteers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to maintain high productivity and morale.
  • Collaborate with instructors to develop engaging, diverse, and wellbalanced programs that cater specifically to the needs of adult learners.
  • Maintain a safe, organised, and welcoming environment, including the cleanliness and functionality of the facility and equipment.
  • Handle administrative tasks, such as budgeting, purchasing, and inventory management related to the art centre's operation.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in arts management, fine arts, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in event management, promotion, and marketing, particularly for adult learners.
  • Understanding of social media and familiarity with various platforms, trends, and best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills to liaise effectively with instructors, artists, community partners, and learners.
  • Understanding of adult learning principles and a passion for fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Proactive, selfmotivated, and able to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Knowledge or interest in various art forms and an ability to anticipate and meet the interests and expectations of adult learners.

Salary:
£29,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
