The Opportunity:


We are looking for someone special to join our talented team, a person that can do more than price, but can look at how we win a project from a strategic perspective.


Reporting to the Operations Director, and working closely with the Perm Division Operations Team, the Strategic Estimator provides estimating, pricing, and supply chain strategy to wider business.


You will be expected to provide experience, guidance, and direction from a cost and manufacturing/ material selection perspective, to both upstream and downstream teams.


You will work with the Senior Management Team on pricing strategy in line with our business goals, developing an estimating process to meet expectations required and help us win business and remain cost effective and competitive.


We are open to hybrid working, which would be reviewed following successful probation, and weighted more to office days, rather than working from home days.

The salary will be dependent on skills and experience.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop Impacts estimating methodology and approach in a modern and varied supply chain environment, utilising internal facilities and skill base wherever possible, but offering alternatives that maintain budget and capacity capabilities.
  • Manage process to provide an accurate and educated cost structure utilising experience and historical data.
  • Drive strategic thinking to maximise margin and opportunity.
  • Provide guidance on risk, risk mitigation and supplier management.
  • Utilise an extensive knowledge of materials and manufacture to guide margin improvement and D2V with the Creative and Development team (D2V
  • Design to Value).
  • Develop supply chain opportunities, including the validation of vendors and negotiation for cost improvement.
  • Develop knowledge and understanding of the business's internal capacities/capabilities and be actively involved in an internal improvement strategy through review, feedback, and future planning.
  • Provide support to the Operational Teams for the full life cycle of projects, including establishing timescales, budgets, and resources.
  • Develop historical data library to enable strategic guidance for pricing and cost evaluation.
  • Ensure internal stakeholders and clients are always provided with a firstclass service.
  • Review projects periodically and use in historic data capture. Actively participate in Project review process.
  • When required, be available for direct client support with Account Team members.
  • Maintain and plan work loading negotiate output and timing to meet business and client requirements and internal expectation.
