Morgan McKinley is looking for an experienced Buyer to join a fab company based in the East Grinstead, West Sussex area.

This is a permanent, hybrid working Buyer job opportunity.

The Buyer will be part of the Procurement team and lead the buying plan for company products and services, procurement, building strong supplier and internal stakeholder relationships in order to maximise value and implementing cost opportunities and processes.


Salary:
up to £51K + excellent benefits


Location:
Hybrid working - 2 days office based


The Buyer duties include:


  • Procurement activities such as; pricing, negotiating terms with suppliers and maximising supplier contract management opportunities
  • Work closely with key business stakeholders to develop sustainable sourcing
- strategies and implementation plans

  • Extensive contract management
  • Manage competitive bidding process planning, cost saving targets, strategy etc
  • Support and implement the procurement strategy
  • Reduce total delivered costs and optimise added value
  • Create strategic category sourcing plans for key areas of expenditure
  • Supporting the development of sourcing strategies identified
  • Stakeholder mapping, spend analysis, understanding of current and future demands
  • Supplier improvement and identification of cost reduction opportunities
  • Selection of suppliers in line with sourcing process

Skills and experience:


  • Proven Buyer / Supply Chain / Procurement experience, working in a similar strategic Buyer role
  • Extensive commercial acumen with a proven track record of delivering results and financial targets in a procurement role
  • Demonstrate clear savings on all purchases processed
  • Able to build strong strategic supplier relationships
