Description

The Adecco Public Sector Team have been engaged to source an experienced Finance Lead who has worked on technical programmes for a government organisation.

This is a 12 month contract role and the day rate is upto £680 a day inside IR35.

The location is in Canary Wharf London, but you are expected to go to the office once a week, and can work remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing high quality, accurate advice to Ministers, ExCo and senior officials on the financial implications of reform programmes and highprofile policies, working collaboratively with policy, programme and analytical teams.
Leading key strands of crossdepartmental work for the Ministry's overall financial strategy and medium term financial plan to deliver the spending review settlement.
Setting budget allocations for business groups, with ongoing monitoring of their performance within the Ministry's Medium Term Financial Plan, and creating financial models and scenarios to support decision making.
Supporting the Deputy Director in the overall leadership and management of the team, and playing a key leadership role across the MoJ's finance directorates. The role will include line management responsibilities and matrix management across the team.
Responding flexibly to ad hoc requests from Ministers, the Permanent Secretary and the Executive Team.
