ROLE- Senior Project Manager

LOCATION- Hampshire

TERM- Permanent

SALARY- Dependent on experience (Please advise what you're looking for)

My client works within the Energy sector, and they are looking to take on an experienced Senior Project Manager, on a permanent basis, in the Hampshire area.

The Senior Project Manager will ideally have the following attributes:

BSc/ BEng/ MSc or BEng in either Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
5 or more years of experience in a similar role within the industry energy, thermal power, electric utility environments
Excellent Project Engineering / Management skills a PRINCE 2 qualification would be beneficial
Be flexible to travel 50% of the time (both domestic and international locations)
Technical knowledge of emissions and combustion technology and the processes that relate to these
Have the ability to keep to schedules and manage costs and contracts
Strong computer skills
Chartership would be beneficial although isn't essential
Excellent communication skills to develop strong client relationships as required
Excellent organisational and planning skills

The Senior Project Manager role will involve:

Being involved in project engineering and management for varying sized projects
These projects could vary between being £10k to £5m in value or higher
Defining goals and deciding the methods to accomplish them
Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
Ensuring they meet contractual obligations
Preparing proposals and presentations as required
You will also be involved on site activities such as testing and construction management
Negotiating changes to the scope of work
Preparing design calculations and also selecting the correct components
Preparing purchase orders for equipment
