Job Title:
Social Media and Marketing Officer


Reporting to:
Finance Director


Job Role:


Continued development of our online presence to further increase brand awareness within a highly competitive industry through upselling services, providing benefit-led messaging and educating consumers across Northern Ireland.

Creating, developing and sourcing marketing collateral for sales campaigns.


This will be achieved through being consistent and providing value in social strategy, engaging with customers, regularly updating the website, and conducting research on how to enhance reach and understand performance.


Duties:


  • Continued development of Refresh NI's online social media presence by producing engaging and keywordrich content (shortform videos, graphics, carousels, still images and blog articles).
  • Enhance website performance through SEO optimizing content with keywords and availing of SEO techniques, plus regularly updating website content with blogs and images, updating figures and tables.
  • Manage PPC ads such as Google to convert the target audience and enhance ad reach.
  • Engage with customers by listening to feedback, answering queries, and attending events to upsell services.
  • Website maintenance to ensure the website is userfriendly, easily navigated, and accessible. Check for bugs or broken links regularly.
  • Creation of promotional and marketing collateral materials such as flyers, videos and leaflets when required.
  • Content planning assisted by conducting industry research, and analytical data review of content to enhance reach/
  • Encourage customer feedback on Trustpilot and Google Reviews and respond to reviews in a timely manner.
  • Monthly review of all social media content and website performance to ascertain what performed well and what didn't, what happened that month, and identify reach and engagement levels, where the audience came from etc.
  • Managing all social accounts and scheduling all content, engaging with customers, and interacting with content in the feed.
  • Contingency planning for website and social accounts.
  • Assisting with design and implementation of physical onsite marketing / sales events.
  • Any other duties as reasonably requested by senior management.

Essential skills:


Design skills
Social media content creation, creation of promotional material, updating and developing new webpages to be user-friendly and look professional.

Creativity to re-purpose content and take industry-leading inspiration.


Research Skills
Complete industry and competitor research; what is happening and current trends.


Organisational Skills
Scheduling and planning multiple social media campaigns concurrently, posting consistent and meaningful content.

Ability to work independently, organising and implementing the Refresh NI social strategy.


Analytical Skills
Ability to deep dive into data to understand why content performance, and identify areas for improvement and enhancement.


Communication skills
Networking with professionals during business visits and attending events.

Communicate with our target audience in a user-friendly way.


Computer Skills
Experienced in using Canva, WordPress, Google Analytics, Google My Business and Google Ads.

Very experienced in Word and Excel.


Social Media Skills


Experienced business user in Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, scheduling content, engaging with the audience, being active in groups, understanding insights, replying to messages and comments, and optimizing content based on the platform.

Running and maintaining relevant Facebook ads.

Creation of engaging social media content - reels, blogs, carousels and still images.

Experience of implementing a successful social strategy pulling consumers coming from social channels to the website.


Website Skills
Web page development and updating to enhance visibility and aesthetics.

Update regular keyword-rich blog posts.

On-page and technical SEO practices.

Maintaining plug-ins.

Analyze website to maintain site speed, and check for bugs and broken links.

Understand indexing, crawling, and ranking to improve webpage visibility.


Essential skills:

Likely educated to degree level in a relevant discipline. At least two years' experience in a similar role with a fast-paced service organization.

This is an office-based role, 25 hours per week, ideally mornings.

Engagement with customers is essential to this role, both by telephone and in person.
