Stores Operative

A fantastic opportunity has recently opened for a Multi utilities Stores operative in the Rochdale area.

The main duties will be to source and order all multi utilities materials/ arrange deliveries and manage stock levels, of all gas/water/electrical goods/cable.

Working closely with the construction Department to ensure all goods received are to the right specification and quality.


Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Source of all materials for utilities industry gas /water and electric
• Receiving all deliveries and checking goods are received in sufficient quantities and to the correct specifications.
• Storing goods received appropriately and resolving discrepancies in the delivery of goods.
• Collating/Dispatching of goods from the stores to various sites, via support drivers.
• Keeping detailed records of goods ordered/received.
• Book in goods and materials in against Purchase Orders.
• Working with others to safely offload large items via telehandler and FLT.
• Ensuring stock is stored correctly.
• Ensure correct stock levels are upheld.
• Quarantine noncompliant items.
• Ensure all equipment and PPE complies to the relevant legislation and in stock.
• Ensure good housekeeping is kept of all store's areas.
• Report non conformities.
• Working towards the implementation of a digital inventory management system

Essential experience:

• Experience in a similar role in the utilities industry.
• Competent user of computers & Microsoft Office programmes.
• Experienced driving forklifts/Telehandler.
• Ability to communicate at all levels.
• Driving Licence.
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime

Salary depending on experience.


Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£10.42-£12.50 per hour


Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
