Oxfordshire County Council are currently looking to recruit an experienced
Senior HR Adviser to join our team based in
County Hall, Oxford. You will be working on a
permenantbasis
(37
hours per week and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of
£41,496 - £44,539 per annum.
**About the Senior HR Adviser
role**: Reporting to the HR Operations Manager, our Senior HR Advisors advise and support our Managers on a range of areas including: restructures, redundancy programmes, outsourcing and insourcing, organisational/job redesign, people management, performance management, grievances and disputes. This role is also responsible for management of HR Advisors.

This senior role will manage complex cases, provide HR expertise, challenge and train managers, work in tandem with Trade Unions and be a pro-active force in collaborating with their service area and stakeholders.


The
Senior HR Adviser will also contribute to the continual maintenance and improvement of our online HR advice pages as well as reviewing HR Policy and Strategy.


What we are looking for in our Senior HR Adviser:

  • CIPD qualified to level 5 as a minimum
  • Up to date knowledge of employment law and employee relations best practice
  • A solutions focussed mind-set
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to build your credibility and rapport with stakeholders, translate legal and policy matters into plain English and be able to adapt your style for different audiences
  • Experienced in providing professional HR advice on employee relations, organisational change, performance management, contractual terms and the interpretation of HR policies
