EDF are leading the UK's nuclear renaissance, we're constructing a new nuclear power station at Hinkley Point C, the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low carbon electricity for around six million homes.
The Opportunity...
As a Risk Practitioner, you will support the risk management processes and framework designed to help the business in making effective and efficient risk-based decisions, increasing delivery certainty and stakeholder confidence by creating and embedding a proactive risk management culture.
You will form an integral part of project delivery, which is designed to positively contribute, influence and underpin success across Engineering, Procurement & Manufacturing, Construction & Commissioning of HPC.

What you'll be doing
- Analytical support to Area Risk Leaders through robust analysis and interpretation of technical, financial, and performance data to facilitate any necessary actions.
- Assurance of the risk processes and systems to deliver high quality governance and process arrangements.
- Reviewing and ambitious the significant risks that may impact project objectives; potential aggregated impact and connections of risks across the Project; stress testing key assumptions and risk mitigations strategies; ambitious the uncertainties of risk over time to allow prioritisation and decision making.
- Supporting the Risk Leaders to work with the programme teams and where appropriate Tier 1 Contractors to identify contractorheld risks.
- Supporting the Risk Leaders to prepare and present risk and opportunity information at review meetings and at project board level as required.
- Supporting risk management training, advice, and support to the various teams across HPC.
- Helping promote and embed a culture of good governance, risk awareness and compliance across the organisation.
- Opportunities to take ownership for different parts of the project.
Who you are
- Minimum of HND or equivalent qualification in project management, engineering, or another related field.
- Previous experience in Project Management, Project Control or Risk Management.
- Ability to understand and use risk management software, experience in using ARM beneficial.
- Great communication skills and the ability to quickly build sound working relationships within various project teams to robustly understand, assess and challenge both active and potential risks.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problemsolving skills.
- Able to link information and turn into insights, ideas, frameworks, or proposals, which are consistent with the needs of the business.
- Delivers accurate and concise risk insights to drive robust decisionmaking.
